SHARE: ShareTweetGoogle+PinterestE-mail Argentina is a wonderful place to backpack. Discover the cheapest and funniest way to go there! I was faced by the unexpected warning that I would have to take vacations on the next month from when I was told. Immediately, I started looking for travel packages, but they were all above my budget. Then, I was talking to some friends from work about it, telling them I didn’t know what to do for 20 days and that I didn’t want to stay home. So, one of them introduced me to Worldpackers! I got interested by the idea and started looking for hostels! That was the time Argentina came to me as a great idea! However, it was not so easy to find hosts that would receive me. I had very short time to organize everything. And that’s when the Worldpackers’s team helped me a lot to ensure everything would go well in the meantime! In two weeks, I bought my plain tickets and off I went to northern Argentina, to a town called Salta. I stayed at La Covacha Hostel, a place with a very friendly atmosphere. I’ve heard from some travelers that they liked the place because they felt at home. Which is really true! The hostel is so cozy and charming that it is possible to feel at home, even if it was a totally different environment when compared to any other place I’ve stayed. Diego, the manager of the hostel, organizes barbecues, parties, tours, talks, dinners and even movie session to ensure everyone is, indeed, feeling at home. Diego is a very welcoming person!! The work that I did in these 2 weeks in La Covacha was simple. Organization, cleaning, reception and even painting allowed me to be very flexible when it comes to schedules! Besides that, since they knew I was there to discover the beauties of northern Argentina, they were always very respectful in relation to my time and availability. Beautiful Salinas Grandes! This trip was really enriching. Besides the travel and beautiful landscapes themselves, I was looking for self discovering! I wanted to challenge myself to be more sociable, find my limits and discover what trust is all about. And I found what I was looking for. A new experience which for sure will be repeated! However, with more wisdom and new goals! SHARE: ShareTweetGoogle+PinterestE-mail Leave a Reply Cancel ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
